Requesting a site build

Requesting a site build is free and does not obligate you to buy anything. We review every request and decide whether to build a preview site. We may decline a request for any reason.

A preview site is ours until you buy it. If you decide not to buy, we may take the preview down, and you owe nothing.

Buying your website

If you decide to keep your site, you pay a one-time price that we agree on with you in writing before you pay.

Refund Policy

You may request a full refund within 14 days of payment. If we refund you, ownership of the website returns to Chipper and we will take the site down.

Once your payment is received, the website's design and content are yours.

What's included

• Your website as shown in the preview, published on your own domain
• Hosting of the site at no monthly charge from Chipper
• Access to the Chipper editor, so you can change your own text and photos at any time at no cost

Your domain name is registered in your name, and its annual renewal is paid by you to your domain registrar. Optional third-party services you choose to connect, and fees those providers charge, are your responsibility.

How hosting works, and what happens if that changes

Chipper does not charge you a hosting fee. We can do that because your site runs on infrastructure provided by third parties (currently Cloudflare) whose current plans let us host sites like yours at little or no cost to us. Those companies set their own prices and terms, and we do not control them.

If a hosting provider changes its pricing, limits, or terms in a way that makes it impractical for us to keep hosting your site without charge, we will:

• give you at least 60 days' written notice by email before anything changes for you, and
• offer you a choice: (a) keep your site hosted with us at a fee no greater than our actual cost of hosting it, with no markup, or (b) receive a complete copy of your website's files and content, at no charge, so you can host it anywhere you like.

We may also move your site to a different hosting provider at any time, at our expense, as long as your site keeps working the same way.

The one-time price you paid is for building your website. It is not a prepayment for hosting, and a change in hosting costs does not entitle you to a refund of it. Whatever happens with hosting, the website's design and content remain yours.

Changes made by us

You can edit your own site in the Chipper editor whenever you like, for free.

If you ask us to make changes for you:

• First 90 days. Changes we make to your site are free for 90 days after we receive your initial payment.
• After 90 days. Changes are billed at $100 per hour, with a one-hour minimum charge per request. We will tell you the estimated time before we start.

Your content

You are responsible for the content on your site, including making sure you have the right to use the text, photos, and logos you give us or add yourself. You give us permission to host and display that content in order to provide the service. We may show your site as an example of our work unless you ask us not to.

Acceptable use

You may not use your site or chippersites.com for anything unlawful, to mislead people, or to distribute harmful software. We may suspend a site that does.

Availability

We work to keep sites online and fast, but we rely on third-party infrastructure and cannot promise uninterrupted service. If you want to move your site elsewhere, contact us and we will help you take it with you.

Disclaimers and limits

The site and services are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Chipper disclaims all implied warranties, and we do not guarantee that a website will produce any particular number of calls, customers, or search rankings.

To the extent the law allows, Chipper's total liability for any claim related to the site or services is limited to the amount you paid us, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version posted here on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase.
